Time makes heroes! — Liang Qichao
Why do we CHK focus on manufacturing induction cookers from 2003 till now? Regarding this question, I interviewed Mr. Qiu, founder of the CHK, who finally present the answers about it: in conclusion, mainly due to the following two aspects– one is the development trend of induction cookers in the domestic market–hot selling products from 2001; two is to create a healthy kitchen for each family.
Q(reporter): Why did you suddenly resign from the Hongkong company and turn to the induction cooker industry in the Shenzhen area? At that time, I think it is a challenging but risky decision, what do you think?
A(Qiu Shouqing): Yep, very risky but great decision, if the judgment was wrong, it would lead to heavy debts; but after the test of practice and time for those years, it is now considered correct. The development advantages of induction cookers and my family experience guide me to devote myself to the induction cooker industry, which is my willingness to leave.

Q: Can you inform us of development opportunities for the induction cooker industry?
A: There is a huge development potential in the induction cooker area, which can create a healthy kitchen for each family and make a great contribution to the national ecological environment. Talking about the development history, I need to mention three social backgrounds in that time:
- Since the 1990s, China’s gas stove industry has entered a period of rapid development, in which is almost every family was using gas stoves for cooking food. The variety of household gas stoves has increased significantly, and the design styles(like quality, safety, function setting) have become more and more novel. However, the use of gas stoves also brings a series of hazards:
- a. Gas poisoning occurs frequently;
- b. Excessive temperature scald children;
- c. Excessive lampblack is harmful to the body;
- d. Causes fire and destroys property such as houses, personal property, and even personal safety;
2. From 1972 to 2001, the development of induction cookers was very slow and chaotic, and there were few manufacturers of electronic components and supporting products related to induction cookers. In 2002, induction cooker manufacturers rapidly rose to more than 500-600, and there were countless manufacturers of induction cooker accessories. Although the awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection of Chinese kitchen appliance enterprises was continuously strengthened, it was not as urgent as it is today. With deep insight into the demands of the times for green and healthy cooking, CHK meets the opportunities of the times unexpectedly.
3.The third point is that my mother has been cooking on gas stoves for 10 years. The huge oil fume from three or four meals a day made her cough constantly, whose long-term inhalation of a lot of oil fume causes her body and mood to become worse. Every time I see this kind of scene, I feel very sad. My mother’s experience in the kitchen is happening in families with more than 1.2 billion people, what should I do to solve this problem for each family? Until I get a touch in induction cookers, so I made up my mind to develop IH technology to build a healthy kitchen for each family.
The third point is that my mother has been cooking on gas stoves for 10 years. The huge oil fume from three meals a day made her cough constantly. Long-term inhalation of a lot of oil fume made her body and mood worse. So I made up my mind to build a healthy kitchen for every family.

Q: What do you think is the advantage of IH heating technology?
A:Compared with traditional coal, oil, gas, and electric boilers using electric heating tubes, IH electromagnetic induction heating technology has unique advantages in terms of environmental protection, efficient use of energy, service life, and safety performance. Combining the above factors, induction heating can create a healthy kitchen for each family in China, that is to reduce the risk of lung cancer caused by a large amount of oil fume and avoid dangerous incidents such as explosions. This is the convenience brought to the family by technological innovation.

Q: At the end of the interview, Mr. Qiu, do you have anything else to say?
A: I hope that all of us at CHK can stick to the original intention– to build a healthy kitchen for each family. Let’s work together through the wind and rain, and persevere to the end can get the greatest gains.
